Response to Freedom Sunday at Calvin Church

$3000 given to combatting slavery in Seattle and Cambodia

On Freedom Sunday, the redeeming power of God was proclaimed at Calvin Church, and prayers of confession and supplication ( Freedom Sunday Litany) were offered on behalf of trafficking victims and perpetrators.

Participants in Freedom Sunday at Calvin gave approximately $3000 toward anti-trafficking efforts in Seattle and Cambodia, and committed to distributing anti-trafficking information at all the gas stations situated near eleven exits along I-90.

The relationship between fair trade and the abolition of slavery was introduced through this video from Trade As One http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8JfGki00T0c.
