SUNDAY MORNINGS Kid’s Café Sunday School
Kid’s Café is an exciting time of worship and praise, teaching, and nurturing for families with children through 5th grade. It is a time of learning and of activities which challenge families to apply monthly Biblical virtues. Our small groups are taught by caring Christians wishing to serve our Lord by sharing with His youngest followers.
Kid’s Café is built around 3 basic truths:
- Wisdom: I need to make the WISE CHOICE
- Faith: I can TRUST GOD no matter what
- Friendship: I should TREAT OTHERS the way I want to be treated
For more information about our Kid’s Café curriculum, please see www.252basics.org.

Some examples include game nights, coat drives, neighborhood Easter egg hunt, children’s movie nights and more. To see what is going on, be sure to check the church calendar, or call Karen Kirkman at the Church Office for information on future events.
Club 56 Each quarter there are special off-site, fellowship events for our 5th and 6th graders.
Preparing for Adolescence This class is offered in the springtime for 5th graders and their parents as they meet separately Sunday mornings. It is designed to prepare them for some of the typical changes and challenges that arise during adolescence. From a Christian perspective, teachers and guest speakers help us look at issues involving early adolescents.
A Spiritual Feast: Training Children for Communion Second – Fifth graders and their parents are invited to a (two Sundays) class during Lent. Christ invites all believers to His table. This class will provide a framework for inviting children to this spiritual feast through meaningful, hands-on instruction and creative expression. We will explore ways to connect exciting Old Testament stories to the Last Supper and to instill a sense of joy and reverence in our young believers as we prepare them to come to His table.
Third Grade Bibles Each spring, third graders are presented with Bibles during Sunday worship service. God’s Word is given in love and joy to them from their church family.
SUMMER ACTIVITIES
Trainee Fun Catch the excitement! Fun, mid-week events centered around a Christian theme designed by our summer Trainees for children 1st-5th grade.
Summer Camp Bordering the Glacier Park Wilderness Area, Tall Timber Ranch has provided inspiring camping experiences for over 45 years. The lush meadows, massive cedars, glacial rivers and snowcapped peaks, enhance the wholesome fun, exciting activities, and solid Biblical teaching that stretch and challenge you. Sessions for campers 2nd-5th grade begin in July. Brochures are available or look on-line at www.talltimber.org
Vacation Bible School A week long summer adventure for children 4 years old—6th grade completed. Bring your children for eyewitness storytellers, fun, theme related music, crafts, games, snacks, mission, and more!
GETTING INVOLVED This exciting ministry for children and families is possible because of the large and small contributions of time made by many. Service to the Lord with children is rewarding and fun. Jesus said, “Whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me.”
If your child is involved, or if you feel called in serving the Lord, we can find a place for you. Call the Director of Children’s Ministries, Karen Kirkman, or one of our Nurture Ministry elders at the church office, 206-542-6181.
Most of our programs and activities are staffed by parents, volunteers, and youth who are members of our church. All teachers are approved by our Session, and agree to complete an application and a Washington State Criminal History Form.
For dates and times of current activities, check the Calendar and News sections of this website.
