Missions Ministry Mission Statement

In fulfillment of the Great Commission (Matthew 28: 18-20), Calvin Missions Ministry seeks to direct support to those ministries and personnel whose Christian service is holistic and transformational and who have as a core value the purposeful proclamation of the gospel cross-culturally. The Missions Ministry team accepts responsibility for providing opportunities for mission education, prayer and involvement.

This ministry is a high priority in the life of Calvin. Twenty five percent of all undesignated giving goes toward the support of God’s work through mission ministries and workers in the field, locally and globally.

In addition to the financial provision, we encourage each member to be personally involved in missions in a variety of ways. For example, Action Teams are forming for each supported mission. Action teams are small groups that commit to encourage a particular missionary in prayer and with caring communication.

There are opportunities to participate in Calvin-sponsored mission trips or to experience short-term volunteering with a variety of mission organizations with which Calvin partners.
