Full of life, fun, fellowship, and service describes the vital part Seniors play in the life of Calvin Presbyterian Church. Our lively Seniors group, known as S*P*A*R*K*S (Senior Presbyterians, Active, Retired, Kicking Still), has members ranging in age from 60 to 95 years.

During each year, S*P*A*R*K*S sponsors monthly luncheon meetings. Each includes a unique program featuring musicians, or magicians, or poets, or storytellers . . . -- a broad variety of entertainment. You name it, S*P*A*R*K*S has featured it, and everyone is welcome.

During the spring and summer, this energetic Seniors group also takes one-day tours to local and regional points of interest. Recent trips have included visits to the tulip fields in the Skagit Valley, Mt. Rainier National Park, and an ostrich farm near Gig Harbor on Hood Canal.

In their spare time, our senior members volunteer for a wide variety of activities in the church and broader community. Within the church, members play a very important role. Members volunteer freely for a variety of duties in the church office and library, care for the grounds, help in the kitchen, call on the sick and infirm, and provide a helping hand where needed.

Calvin also offers other activities directed towards seniors. We have breakfast Bible study groups for seniors, both men and women, as well as a twice-weekly Low-Impact Fitness class held at the church.

Other senior social groups coordinate outings and gatherings, including CAST (Christian Adult Singles Together). CAST is a small group of senior singles who meet weekly for fellowship and Bible study. The group also meets monthly for dinner out together.

Visitors are especially welcome to all events. Come join us!
