Spiritual Formation, at its simplest, might be understood as “becoming like Christ.” However, this may be too simplistic.
We like to say:
Spiritual formation is the grace-driven, inside-out, renovation of one’s whole life, after the pattern of Jesus, with and for the sake of others.
Outside our building, on the northeast corner near the playground, is our new prayer labyrinth. Click here to learn why it is here and various approaches you can use when walking the labyrinth in prayer.
How can we help you along your spiritual journey?
At Calvin, we are committed to walking with anyone who wants to move deeper in their life of faith and their integration of The Way of Jesus. We offer a variety of means–from small LIFE groups to weekend workshops and retreats–for you to understand and express in your everyday life what it can and does mean for you to be a follower of Jesus.
Becoming like Jesus does not happen in a single moment or decision; it takes little commitments and daily choices. Doing this with others, in community, accelerates and aids the process. We encourage people to meet together regularly in small LIFE groups for study, prayer and fellowship.
